I'm a Thornaby lass from Lansdowne Rd now living in Derbyshire. Both parents were Thornaby through and through. One was 2A Diamond Rd the other from 146 Redcar Rd. Both now gone but never forgotten. A part of Thornaby will always be with me in my heart ❤️

Lived in Edith Street, left early 74 to work in Shetland, came back in summer of 75 to find our house empty and smashed up, they had moved to near Albert Park.....before the days of house telephones ( mail only to communicate)......people just wouldn't get it these days....we didn't have much but overall we were happy...

Great video but could do with a tune

By far my favorite one of this 3 part series when I first saw it. I've replayed my video-tape that I recorded this episode on I don't know how many times. This was my first proper introduction to Albania - a country that has always fascinated me since my youth, as there was very little as far as films, documentaries, books, etc. dealing with her. For most of my early life, a few photos that I saw in a book & various encyclopedias at libraries I would frequently visit was my only exposure to this magnificent land. I sincerely hope to visit her at least once in my life.
